** A new showmanship point system was implemented in 2007, and the new point system for the weight classes division will be put in place beginning with the 2008 majors. See Point Chart page for explanation. The Directors worked hard to devise a new system and believe our members will benefit from it. Let them know you appreciate their efforts .**

All 2007 memberships expired at the conclusion of the Sandhills Meat Goat Show on January 5, 2008. Exhibitors will not be able to receive points for the 2008 season until their memberships are renewed.

Renew now, so you are not disappointed.

Please continue to recruit your friends for the meat goat organization that was the FIRST and still the BEST, the JMGSC!

Allow a minimum of 5 regularly scheduled mail delivery days for mail to reach the JMGSC office.

Please help JMGSC exhibitors get the recognition they deserve! The Purple Circle, in an effort to showcase our members, asks show superintendents or parents who have pictures from a JMGSC-sanctioned show to send them in to the Purple Circle for publication. This is especially important for the majors. Please clearly label them with the name of the show, the exhibitor's name and the placing in the show. If you request it, they will return your pictures.

Get your NEW Success in the Show Ring books for the 2008 jackpot season! They are available in bright orange, neon green, and red. It is a great way to track your year as well as important information on each goat. They are available at many shows or you may send a check for $12 per book to JMGSC, 1004 Virginia Circle, Big Lake, TX 76932, and specify the color.

The Junior Meat Goat Show Circuit was established in 1996 as a non-profit organization to promote the meat goat industry and give meat goat exhibitors opportunities afforded to exhibitors of other species. It remains the meat goat organization of choice for approximately 200 youth each year and exists solely for their benefit. It is governed by a board of directors comprised of volunteers interested in meat goats and a junior board composed of JMGSC members. If you want to be a member of an organization dedicated entirely to meat goats and their exhibitors, join the ORIGINAL - AND STILL THE BEST -
