The JMGSC would like to share the following thank-you note we received following the NextEra 11th Annual JMGSC Show and ASU Block and Bridle Fall Expo weekend of shows and activities.  The Junior Meat Goat Show Circuit continues to prove that it exists solely for the benefit of the youth!  This letter SAYS IT BEST!

What a weekend!  We just want to say thank you for a wonderful experience.

We’ve been involved with JMGSC for several years with Chance, but this is the first year for our daughter Payton to be involved at the “member” level.  We forgot what it was like to be at the “starting point”.

This show was only her 2nd time to be in the show ring and she gained so much experience, but more importantly, new friends and a vast amount of confidence.

I don’t know who to thank specifically, as I know it must have taken a village to run the show(s), the scavenger hunt, the prizes, etc….

Payton absolutely loved the scavenger hunt.  What an amazing idea!  It was a great way to get the kids to ‘mingle’ with each other and the parents as well.  It was fun for everyone, adults included.

What an awesome group of people!   A group full of amazing, generous, giving spirits!

Please pass along our ‘THANK YOU’!

Shane, Tanya, Chance, and Payton Medlock

Please help JMGSC exhibitors get the recognition they deserve!  The Purple Circle, in an effort to showcase our members, asks show superintendents or parents who have pictures from a JMGSC-sanctioned show to send them in to the Purple Circle for publication.  This is especially important for the majors.  Clearly label them with the name of the show, the exhibitor's name and the placing in the show.  If you request it, they will return your pictures.

The Top Ten placings are posted on our website, www.jmgsc.com. For complete point totals of ALL members, check your monthly Purple Circle. Any questions may be e-mailed to jmgsc@jmgsc.com, or call 325-884-3645.

Success in the Show Ring books are still available in bright orange, lunar blue, neon yellow, and red. It is a great way to track your year as well as important information on each goat. They are available for $10 at many shows or you may send a check for $12 per book to JMGSC, 1004 Virginia Circle, Big Lake, TX 76932, and specify the color.

The Junior Meat Goat Show Circuit was established in 1996 as a non-profit organization to promote the meat goat industry and give meat goat exhibitors opportunities afforded to exhibitors of other species. It remains the meat goat organization of choice for approximately 200 youth each year and exists solely for their benefit. It is governed by a board of directors comprised of volunteers interested in meat goats and a junior board composed of JMGSC members. If you want to be a member of an organization dedicated entirely to meat goats and their exhibitors, join the
